Mark Roberts brings over 36 years experience to the business.

Having spent 14 years with Barclays, and 7 years with St James’s Place Wealth Management, Finance North was born in 2008.

Since the death of Mark’s wife from cancer in 2010, his passion has been to help others. He set up Challenge Cancer UK in 2013 after a successful appeal to raise vital funds for the Christie Hospital in Manchester, raising £1.175m in just 2 years and 10 months. This resulted in Mark being awarded a British Empire Medal by Her Majesty The Queen in 2014 for services to cancer care. Overall fundraising efforts now stand at just over £2.6m.

Combined with his role as lead at the charity, Mark turned Finance North into a business that makes a real difference to its clients. They add value wherever possible, and give back as much as they can.

Operating exclusively in the protection market, Finance North helps individuals and businesses insure themselves, and those most important to them, whether that be loved ones or employees. As important, is that Finance North now offer a claims service, and assistance to anyone who needs their help, whether a client or not. Mark says ‘Unfortunately, I’ve had first hand knowledge of the claims process, dealing with our own claims. That puts me in a strong position though when assisting others, in that I can empathise with their situation but have the knowledge and experience to guide them smoothly through that process, and at such a difficult time’.

Mark is supported by a small team, equipped with all the skills, knowledge, and expertise to help every client, no matter what their situation.
